The Broken Boy: A Loomis Falls Novelette

Benny wants only one thing: for his mother to be just that, a mother. So, when Benny’s mother wakes him in the middle of the night and tells him they are going on a trip, his excitement is palpable. They were long overdue for a family vacation. But his mother is acting strange, stranger than usual at least, and Benny wonders if this trip isn’t all he expects it to be. Now, in a confused hurry, Benny takes a fall that begins a series of injuries that seem to increase with every waking hour, and Benny’s mother must choose between her own life and that of her only son.
